  • A homeland is not a flag or a gun. A homeland is a child looking at you.

    Gloria Fuertes
  • Our Life as Refugee Children in Europe

The story of a generation of refugee children and young people trying to find their place in Europe, and of those who never found it. "Our Life as Refugee Children in Europe" is a brave, first-hand testimony told by children and youngsters of different nationalities who arrived in Greece and Sweden and have since been waiting. These are the voices of a generation forced to leave their home and childhood to find a safe place to live and rebuild their lives. This is the story of those who made it, but also of those who never arrived.

An essential piece to humanize us and sensitize us to a problem on which we have done hardly anything. Work that should be screened in all schools.

      Cine y sé feliz.

      Director’s statment

"The goal of this documentary is to find a common space in these turbulent times to listen, get to know and understand the refugee minors arriving in Europe. They are the most vulnerable ones and our attitude towards them will leave a mark in both their future and ours. As the Spanish poet Gloria Fuertes once said: A homeland is not a flag or a gun. A homeland is a child looking at you.
